Product Description

Calcium stearate emulsion is a product developed by CHNV. It is suitable for use as a sanding aid in water-based wood primers and putties, applied in water-based coating systems, and can also be used in the papermaking industry and in cement mortar and concrete industries. The product appears as a white emulsion, mainly refined from calcium stearate prepared with plant-based stearic acid together with other raw materials.

Applications

General

Calcium stearate emulsion is widely used in many industries. · Used in water-based industrial and wood coatings to improve surface slip and prevent the film from softening and clogging sandpaper or grinding wheels due to temperature rise during mechanical sanding, providing a matting effect; · Can be used in putty to improve the softening coefficient; · Used in rubber as an isolating agent; · Used in the papermaking industry as an anti-blocking agent and hydrophobic agent; · Can be used in cement mortar and concrete to improve hydrophobicity; · Can be used in the rubber industry as a mold release agent and isolating agent.

Product Notes

It is recommended that the addition level of all the above products be 0.1%-6%; the specific dosage depends on the formulation. The above dosages exclude the stabilizer-recommended formulation.

Storage & Handling

Must be stored airtight; do not store uncovered, to avoid surface skinning that affects use. Store and transport in a cool, well-ventilated environment. In winter, prevent freezing and demulsification; keep above 0°C. Take thermal insulation measures during transport.
